The difference between a standard harness and a No Pull Breathable Dog Harness is the front D-ring attachment point. A standard harness attaches the lead at the back — when the dog pulls, force is directed forward in the same direction they want to go, which reinforces the pulling behaviour. A front-clip harness redirects pulling force sideways, gently steering the dog's direction of travel without the collar pressure on the throat that traditional corrections create.
The Truelove TLH5657 adds a second D-ring at the back for dual-leash training setups, reflective strips across the chest and back panels for low-light UK winter walks, and an air mesh lining that prevents the overheating and chafing that solid nylon harnesses cause during extended summer walks.
Front and Back D-Ring System
Front D-ring: Connects the lead at the chest — steers rather than restrains, gently corrects forward-pulling behaviour without harsh correction
Back D-ring: Traditional rear connection for everyday walking when pulling is not an issue, or for vehicle restraint using a car seat belt adapter
